World CleanUp Day Wishes

World Cleanup Day, observed annually on September 20th, stands as one of the largest civic actions in human history, uniting millions of volunteers across more than 190 countries to combat the global solid waste and marine debris crisis. What began as a grassroots initiative in Estonia in 2008—where four percent of the population cleaned up the entire nation in just five hours—was officially integrated into the United Nations international calendar to catalyze systemic environmental change. Coordinated globally by the organization Let’s Do It! World and facilitated by UN-Habitat, the movement encourages communities, businesses, and governments to cooperate in tracking, mapping, and properly managing mismanaged waste.
